The Chicago-area Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Year Program, in association with the Chicago chapters of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), ChicagoFIRST, ISACA, FBI-InfraGard, Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), the Society for Information Management (SIM), and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) is proud to announce the winners of the 2023 Chicago-area Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Year award:

MIDCAP Category Winner

Neil Witek, CISO, Oak Street Health

ENTERPRISE Category Winner

Darin Hurd, CISO, Guaranteed Rate (a ChicagoFIRST member)

The winners were announced during a breakfast ceremony at the Union League Club of Chicago on October 10th, 2023.  Runners-up for the awards, Fred Kwong of DeVry University and Dan Manley of CME Group (a ChicagoFIRST member) were also honored.

Maintaining strong cyber security and privacy programs has become increasingly apparent in the current business climate.  The Chicago-area CISO of the Year Program recognizes the contributions of Security and Privacy leaders to their organizations, their profession, and the local community.    ChicagoFIRST salutes these leaders of the profession.
